Summer associates dive into Kirkland’s culture, exploring practice areas, connecting with attorneys and experiencing Firm operations firsthand. Our program includes training, mentorship and development, and networking and social opportunities, ensuring a well-rounded and substantive experience.

Hands-On Experience

Summer associates participate in our distinctive open assignment system, providing realistic exposure to our practice from day one. As you explore various matters, the Firm offers an integrated support network to help ensure your access to robust development opportunities. As a summer associate at Kirkland, you'll attend trials, hearings, depositions, closings, client calls and meetings, and participate in a special edition of Kirkland's trial advocacy and corporate training programs.
