Kirkland Seminar

IP and Technology Deals in an Uncertain World

In light of current economic events, bankruptcy concerns and implications play an even greater role in today’s intellectual property and technology transactions. For the first event in our series, we will focus on counterparty risk from the perspective of all stakeholders when contracting in a distressed environment, including an overview of the relevant sections of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. We will discuss essential deal structure and agreement drafting considerations, for both licensees and licensors and customers and service providers, when entering into intellectual property and technology transactions, including license agreements, development agreements and outsourcing agreements.
