Illinois CPA Society’s Estate & Gift Tax Conference

The Illinois CPA Society will hold its Estate & Gift Tax Conference on May 9, 2013 at The Standard Club in Chicago. The conference will focus on recent legislative, regulatory and case law developments and how to use those changes to plan successfully in these uncertain times. Topics will include "Charitable Planning Methods and What They Mean for Your Clients," "Understanding the 3.8% Medicare 'Surtax' and the Impact on Estates & Trusts" and "Bet-to-Live & Bet-to-Die Estate Planning Strategies," among others.

Kirkland partner David Handler will speak on the topic titled "Techniques and Troubles of Giving Away the Family Home."
