International Trademark Association Webinar: 2024 Policy Dialogue
Kirkland of counsel Amy Abeloff will moderate the panel “Addressing the Challenges of Class 9” at the International Trademark Association’s webinar “2024 Policy Dialogue: Class 09 — The Way Forward” taking place on October 24, 2024.
The panel will focus on the following four solutions — whether individually or in combination — to the challenges encountered by trademark applicants relating to Class 9: (1) dividing Class 9; (2) transferring goods from Class 9 to different existing classes; (3) transferring goods from Class 9 into newly created classes; and (4) the possibility of not requiring registration for mere virtual versions of tangible goods.
