Joseph R. Baron is a partner in the Investment Funds Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, based in the Houston office. His practice focuses on representing private equity and real estate fund sponsors in fundraising, structuring, regulatory and compliance and ongoing management related matters. Joseph counsels clients with respect to every stage of a fund’s lifecycle, including fund formation, capital raising and day-to-day operations. He also advises on secondary transactions, GP-led restructurings, co-investment vehicles, alternative investment structures and continuation vehicles. Joseph has represented a broad array of clients, ranging from first-time fund sponsors raising several million dollars, to large multi-strategy sponsors raising funds of $25 billion.
