Overview

Patrick Butler is an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice focuses on complex trial and appellate litigation.

Before joining Kirkland, Patrick served as a law clerk to Judge Michael B. Brennan on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and Judge James C. Dever III on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. He is a graduate of Duke University School of Law, University College Dublin and the University of Notre Dame.
