Louisa Cobbe is an investment funds partner in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Louisa advises a wide range of industry stakeholders on the establishment and operation of funds and other co-investment arrangements, with a primary focus on the real estate sector. She has advised sponsors, investors, operators and managers on the formation of closed-ended and open-ended funds, club deals and joint ventures, as well as on the implementation of management incentive plans and complex restructurings. She also has extensive experience advising on the acquisition and disposal of high-value real estate through indirect holding structures.

Prior to joining Kirkland, Louisa's representative experience included:
Advised a private equity fund on its joint venture arrangements entered into with an operator in connection with the acquisition of a budget boutique hotel brand
Advised a leading London-based property developer on its joint venture arrangements with a market-leading operator in the life sciences sector in connection with the development of a life sciences hub
Advised a leading UK developer and operator of student accommodation on capital raising, restructuring and ongoing management in relation to their £2.9 billion flagship fund and £1.8 billion joint venture with a sovereign wealth fund, together with numerous investment transactions and financings
Advised co-sponsors on the formation of a £1.2 billion closed-ended fund to invest in a market-leading multifamily platform
Advised a London-based property developer on a number of joint venture and development management arrangements entered into with institutional investors
Advised the real estate investment arm of a North American pension fund in connection with its disposal of an Australian student accommodation business, as well as implementation of long term incentive plans in relation to a number of its other portfolio businesses
