James Desjardins is a corporate partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he focuses on the design and development of Kirkland's proprietary, market-leading technology platform for the Firm's fund formation clients.
Prior to joining Kirkland, James spent over nine years at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York and London as a corporate attorney, and later as a legal technologist focused on innovation and practice-facing technology initiatives. James is also an experienced software developer and entrepreneur, having spent several years developing ground-breaking tools for the investment funds space before joining the Firm.
