Edie Essex Barrett is a litigation associate in Kirkland’s Government, Regulatory & Internal Investigations Practice Group in London. Edie assists clients on a variety of white collar, international risk and governance and national security matters.
Edie has experience with general litigation and arbitration matters as well as complex national security matters, including trade sanctions, export controls and global foreign direct investment screenings.

Representative Matters
Prior to joining Kirkland, Edie assisted with advising clients in relation to:
UK sanctions and export control compliance and due diligence matters arising from M&A transactions;
Submission of licence applications before UK sanctions and export control authorities;
Possible national security issues under the UK National Security and Investment Act and other global investment screening regimes; and
Injunctive relief in a cross-border dispute.
