Isabel Falkner is a debt finance associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Isabel has experience in cross-border restructurings advising sponsors, debtors, creditors and strategic investors on restructurings of stressed and distressed businesses.
Isabel also has experience in real estate finance, lender and borrower side fund finance transactions along with syndicated credit, acquisition finance and other leveraged finance transactions. Isabel completed a secondment to the principal loan finance legal team at Goldman Sachs.

NMC Healthcare Ltd — advising the joint administrators of NMC Healthcare LTD in connection with its $7.6 billion financial restructuring
WiZink Bank - advising Varde Partners and bondholders with respect to WiZink’s €515 million financial restructuring
Nordic Aviation Capital — advising Nordic Aviation Capital Designated Activity Company and its subsidiaries in connection with their financial restructuring
GIC – acting for GIC on its joint venture with Kennedy Wilson to acquire and manage urban logistics in the UK, Ireland and Spain, targeting total assets of $1 billion
Triton Partners — advising Arvos group in relation to its financial restructuring
Bain Capital - advising Bain Capital along with Goldman Sachs and other investors with respect to the financing of Sum Up
Prior to joining Kirkland, Isabel worked on the following matters:
Premier Oil — acted for ad hoc group of lenders with respect to schemes of arrangement to facilitate an amendment to the terms of the group’s $2 billion debt facilities and the acquisition of £660 million worth of North Sea oil and gas fields to be funded by way of a placing and rights issue
Abengoa — advising the new money lenders and ad hoc committee of bondholders on the restructuring of the Abengoa group
Goldman Sachs — acted for the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs in connection with a variety of financings for investment grade corporates and acquisition financings
Cinven — acted for Cinven with respect to the £600 million acquisition of JLA Group
Partners Group — acted for Partners Group with respect to subscription line financing
Permira — acted for Permira with respect to subscription line financing
Bridgepoint — acted for Bridgepoint with respect to subscription line financing
Bank of America Merrill Lynch — acted for Bank of America Merill Lynch with respect to the merger of Bank of America Merrill Lynch International Limited and Bank of America Merrill Lynch International DAC
