Garrett Fox is a litigation associate in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Garrett has years of experience conducting legal research and drafting briefs in state and federal district court and appellate matters. Garrett has litigated in a wide randge of matters, including cases involving trade secrets, consumer protection, securities, antitrust, patents and non-competition agreements. Prior to joining Kirkland, Garrett participated in and won a plaintiff's verdict in a trial alleging tens of millions of dollars in patent infringement damages. Garrett also maintains an active pro bono practice, including in-person counseling of asylum seekers in ICE detention facilities in Laredo, Texas.
After graduating from the University of Chicago and University of Michigan Law School, Garrett served as a law clerk for the Honorable Chad A. Readler of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and for the Honorable James S. Gwin of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
