Since joining Kirkland, Frances has worked on the following matters:
- Represented real estate investment firm in the recapitalization of its 13-asset mixed-use real estate portfolio and the related formation of a continuation fund.
- Represented sovereign wealth fund on its $612 million programmatic joint venture for multifamily properties in the western United States.
- Represented U.S. private equity fund in connection with its $150 million sale of a data center property in Virginia.
- TPG Real Estate on its joint venture with Digital Realty (NYSE: DLR), the largest global provider of cloud- and carrier-neutral data center, colocation and interconnection solutions, in which TPG acquired majority stake in three stabilized hyperscale data centers in Northern Virginia and the related financing thereof. The three hyperscale data centers were contributed to the joint venture at an aggregate value of $1.5 billion.

Restructuring
- Represented EP Energy Corporation, and its affiliated debtors, a public oil and natural gas exploration and production company, in connection with their chapter 11 cases involving approximately $4.9 billion in funded debt obligations.
- Represented an ad hoc group of secured lenders to Nordic Aviation Capital, the world’s largest regional aircraft lessor, on bespoke restructuring transactions for multiple aviation financing structures implemented under pre-arranged U.S. chapter 11 proceedings, including a consensual remarketing and mortgage enforcement for certain financing arrangements.
- Represented NPC International, Inc. and its debtor affiliates, the nation’s largest franchisee company with over 1,600 Pizza Hut and Wendy’s restaurants and more than 35,000 employees, in their chapter 11 cases involving more than $900 million of funded debt.
