Richard Hughes
Overview
Richard Hughes is an investment funds associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.
Richard advises sponsors on all aspects of the formation and operation of private investment funds, including in respect of carried interest and other internal sponsor arrangements.
He also advises sponsors, buyers and sellers in respect of the acquisition and disposal of interests in private funds and other liquidity solutions.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Richard trained in the London and Shanghai offices of an international law firm and, upon qualification, practiced for two years in the investment funds group of a US law firm in London. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Richard worked extensively in mainland China. He is proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
