Lynette Janssen is a restructuring associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.
Lynette has experience in cross-border restructurings advising debtors, creditors and strategic investors on restructurings of stressed and distressed businesses.
Lynette is a member of the International Insolvency Institute’s NextGen program and the Dutch Restructuring Association. She has published two books and various articles on banking and insolvency law.

Representative Matters
Prior to joining Kirkland, Lynette has been involved in the following matters:
Advising an ad hoc group of holders of approximately $1 billion senior secured notes issued by a U.S.-based fiber manufacturer on a global restructuring involving a share pledge enforcement in the Netherlands
Advising an ad hoc group of holders of approximately £355 million stock issued by a UK-based owner of shopping centers on a restructuring involving the injection of new money and transfer of the ownership to a Jersey trust structure
Advising an ad hoc group of senior secured and super senior secured noteholders in connection with the approximately $1.1 billion restructuring of an international gaming operator. The restructuring included the injection of new money, conversion of debt into equity and amendments to the existing notes
Advising the government of a country in connection with the $160 million restructuring of a major real estate development project in that country. The transaction included the planning and implementation of multiple legal actions, including the appointment of provisional liquidators and a parallel Chapter 15 proceeding in the U.S.
