Albert Y. Kim is an antitrust & competition partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His primary focus is obtaining clearances for proposed transactions from the U.S. DOJ and U.S. FTC, state attorneys general and international competition law agencies. Albert has extensive experience in guiding transactions from proposal to closing and navigating any competition-related investigations and enforcement scrutiny. Albert also has experience in representing clients in antitrust litigation and consumer protection investigations.
Albert served as an attorney at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and was a senior member on a number of matters related to hospitals, grocery stores, semiconductors and pharmaceuticals. He was recognized for several individual and team awards during his time at the FTC.
