Katy Kim is an investment funds partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She focuses her practice on the formation, structuring, marketing and management of investment funds. Katy has counseled private fund sponsors on legal, compliance and governance matters, internal economic arrangements and strategic and operational matters, including co-investment arrangements, alternative investment vehicle structures and product line expansion. Katy has also advised private equity sponsors on preferred equity transactions and seeding arrangements. In addition to representing well-established sponsors in prominent global fundraisings, Katy has experience in working with early stage sponsors in all aspects of establishing their operations and raising capital.
