Sarah Kimmer is a litigation partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Sarah's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. Her experience includes commercial disputes, consumer class actions and products liability claims. In addition, Sarah regularly represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in a wide array of business disputes. Sarah also maintains an active pro bono practice.

Represented pharmaceutical company in high-profile federal multidistrict litigation and state court lawsuits in motion practice, discovery and related hearings.
Represented mutual fund adviser against claims of excessive fees, challenging the alleged differential between advisory and sub advisory fees through fact and expert discovery, summary judgment and a bench trial, resulting in a ruling in favor of the mutual fund adviser in the Central District of California.
Represented trustees in multiple residential mortgage-backed securities repurchase actions in state trial court in all aspects of fact and expert discovery.
Represented former CEO in connection with a federal civil suit, arising out of alleged insider trading and breach of contract claims in dispositive and discovery motion practice, discovery and settlement discussions.
Represented former controller in connection with securities fraud class action, arising out of alleged accounting fraud through motion practice, discovery and settlement, as well as related investigations by the SEC and DOJ.
Represented former international consultant in connection with high-profile investigations by the SEC and DOJ into alleged securities fraud, revenue recognition and corruption issues.
Represented pharmaceutical company in an enforcement action brought by the New York State Department of Financial Services.
Counseled U.S.-based private equity firm in connection with inquiries from FINRA.
