Varian is an associate in the Debt Finance Practice Group and is based in the Hong Kong office of Kirkland & Ellis. Varian has extensive experience in advising private equity sponsors/borrowers, arrangers and financial institutions on complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions, with a focus on acquisition and leveraged financings, corporate financings and investment fund financings.
Prior to joining Kirkland & Ellis, Varian worked in Singapore as well as in the Hong Kong office of a leading magic circle law firm. He has also spent time on secondment with Bank of America and with the leveraged and acquisition finance team at HSBC.
Varian is qualified to practice in Hong Kong and Singapore. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
