Overview

Dhruva Krishna is an investment funds associate in the Los Angeles office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Dhruva's practice largely focuses on the formation, structuring, marketing, management and regulatory compliance of investment funds, as well as their operational, legal and regulatory issues. As an avid musician and writer, Dhruva is especially interested in the intersection of technology, regulation and innovation. 

Prior to joining Kirkland, Dhruva was involved in the following matters:

  • Assisted major venture capital and private fund administrator with inquiries regarding structuring compliance for new products and ongoing compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.
  • Assisted global, Chicago-based private equity firm with various asset management matters. Experience includes drafting and assisting with the creation of fund-of-funds for private equity investments, forming and preparing documents for carry syndicate vehicles and restructuring matters.
  • Assisted prominent real estate firm with securing data center development investments through real estate fund.
  • Assisting prominent Massachusetts-based investment manager with their fund-of-funds investments.
  • Assisted prominent cryptocurrency company with investments in cryptocurrency-based investments.
