Jenny Lee is a litigation partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Her practice encompasses a broad range of matters representing companies in the areas of securities, mergers and acquisitions and commercial disputes.

Representative Matters
Since joining Kirkland, Jenny has worked on the following matters:
Constellation Brands, in the March 2023 unanimous jury verdict after a two-week trial in a breach of contract and trademark infringement lawsuit in New York federal court relating to Corona Hard Seltzer and Modelo Ranch Water arising from a license agreement between Constellation and Modelo, an Anheuser-Busch InBev company. The team was able to persuade the jury that hard seltzer is beer under the applicable contract. The trial team was recognized as runners-up in The Am Law Litigation Daily’s “Litigator of the Week” column for its victory. In March 2024, the Second Circuit affirmed the judgment in full.
EQT Corporation, and certain of its officers and directors, defending in a consolidated putative securities class action, related individual securities fraud lawsuits, and shareholder derivative actions filed in Pennsylvania federal and state courts, arising out of EQT’s $6.7 billion acquisition of Rice Energy.
Compass, the nation’s largest independent real estate brokerage, defended lawsuit brought by an individual claiming to be a Compass founder and seeking $200M+ in founders’ equity.
United Airlines, advised in connection with its $6.8 billion financing comprising of $3.8 billion of bonds and $3 billion of term loans secured by the airline’s MileagePlus loyalty program.
JELD-WEN and certain executives, defended in purported securities class action litigation filed in Virginia federal court arising from price-fixing allegations and related lawsuits. Favorable settlement achieved in 2021.
Amcor Ltd. and Bemis Co., defended and won dismissal with prejudice of class action litigation filed in New York federal court arising from Amcor’s $6.8 billion acquisition of Bemis. Related Missouri state court litigation dismissed.
The Special Committee of the Board of Directors of Taubman Centers, represented in “material adverse change” litigation related to the attempted termination by Simon Property Group of its $9.8 billion Taubman acquisition. The case settled on the eve of trial in 2020 with the deal closing.
United Airlines, defended in a billion-dollar antitrust lawsuit brought by DHL alleging that United conspired with other airlines to fix surcharge prices in the global air cargo industry. Successfully resolved for a cash payment of less than two percent of DHL’s claimed damages.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Jenny was involved in the following matters:
Represented an industrial goods and metal fabrication company in federal securities litigation in the District of Oregon arising out of the company’s acquisition.
Represented a cable company in antitrust litigation relating to the acquisition of the company by a telecommunications company in the District Court for the District of Columbia.
Represented a semiconductor and telecommunications equipment company in Section 337 proceedings before the International Trade Commission relating to alleged patent infringements of a brand baseband processor modem.
Represented a bank in purported class action litigation in the Southern District of New York relating to an alleged conspiracy to manipulate the Australian bank bill swap rate.
Represented a healthcare and pharmaceuticals company and certain individuals in shareholder derivative litigation in the Northern District of Illinois.
