Jordan Metoyer

Overview

Jordan Metoyer is a litigation associate in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Jordan has experience in a broad array of high stakes matters, including M&A litigation, bankruptcy and restructuring litigation, shareholder derivative lawsuits and other complex commercial disputes. Jordan has also advised companies and their directors and officers on litigation risks involved in M&A and liability management transactions.

Before joining Kirkland, Jordan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Vice Chancellor J. Travis Laster of the Delaware Court of Chancery. Jordan has previously worked for public-, private- and social-sector institutions in Washington, D.C., Beijing, Hong Kong and Dubai.

In re WeWork Inc., et al. (Bankr. D.N.J.): Trial counsel for WeWork and its 517 affiliates in their Chapter 11 restructuring and related litigation. Following extensive discovery and contested hearings, WeWork reached a global settlement and successfully emerged from Chapter 11.

In re SwervePay Acquisition, LLC (Del. Ch.): Trial counsel for New Mountain Capital, EIR Partners, Blue Star Innovation Partners, and related affiliates and individuals in a post-merger earnout dispute.

In re EQT Corporation Securities Litigation (W.D. Pa.): Litigation counsel for EQT Corporation and certain of its officers and directors, defending a consolidated putative securities class action filed in Pennsylvania federal court arising out of EQT’s $6.7 billion acquisition of Rice Energy.

In re Invitae Corporation, et al. (Bankr. D.N.J.): Litigation counsel for Invitae Corporation and its affiliates in Chapter 11-related litigation proceedings. The court approved a five-month bankruptcy sale process, allowing the company to find a buyer and exit Chapter 11.
