Rob Patrignani is an associate in the Technology & IP Transactions Practice Group in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Rob focuses primarily on the intellectual property and technology aspects of complex business transactions, including IP licenses, service agreements, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and collaboration agreements. Rob has advised clients across the media/entertainment, consumer product, retail and software industries.
Prior to joining Kirkland, Rob worked as a paralegal at Marvel Entertainment. Rob was involved with drafting and negotiating agreements related to the production and distribution of Marvel content, including for non-fiction content on Disney+, Marvel’s scripted and unscripted podcasts, and branded content distributed on Marvel’s social media channels. Additionally, Rob provided support for the Marvel Games and Business Development teams by drafting license agreements and amendments, as well as drafting NDAs for potential licensees. Rob also reviewed Marvel content and marketing materials for any clearance-related issues and to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
