Overview

Christopher Pristouris is a partner in the Investment Funds Practice Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice focuses on advising private fund sponsors on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters relating to their investment management businesses, including: adviser structuring, registration and ongoing governance; fund formation and fundraising; government inquiries such as SEC examinations, investigations and enforcement actions; various transactional matters; and other regulatory and compliance matters arising under the Investment Advisers Act, the Securities Act and other related U.S. federal securities laws. His experience includes representing a wide spectrum of funds and asset classes across their life cycles, including private equity, credit, venture capital, early/growth stage, real estate and hedge funds. Chris also advises clients on complex business transactions relating to M&A, private fund restructurings and recapitalizations, strip sales, continuation fund formations, GP stakes and other similar transactions.
