Since joining Kirkland, Katie has been involved in the following matters:

• KKR on its sale of a 14.5 million square foot infill and light industrial portfolio for approximately $2.2 billion
• TPG Real Estate Partners in connection with the acquisition and financing of various operating and development life science assets in the South Eastern U.S. with a total value in excess of $250 million
• Hudson Pacific Properties in a joint venture with CPPIB to acquire an office building in Seattle for a purchase price of $625 million
• National Realty Trust and its subsidiary, KCP RE LLC, on $640 million refinancing a portfolio of 549 childcare centers in 37 states
• Real estate funds managed by Ares Management in the acquisition, joint venture and financing of industrial and multi-family assets with an aggregate value in excess of $1 billion
• Edward Thomas Hospitality Corp. in connection with the management and corporate operations of Shutters on the Beach and Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica, CA
• Hudson Pacific Properties, Inc., in connection with several joint venture and acquisition transactions involving office properties and retail asset redevelopments in Seattle, WA and Los Angeles, CA
• Harbor Freight Tools, Inc., in connection with a build-to-suit, long term lease and development of a 2.25 million square foot warehousing and distribution center facility in Chicago, IL
• Pacific Investment Management Company on several acquisitions and joint ventures with an approximate aggregate transaction value of more than $1 billion

Prior to joining Kirkland, Katie was involved in the following matters:

• Affiliates of The Edward Thomas Hospitality Corp., as borrowers, in connection with the $430 million mortgage and mezzanine refinancing of luxury hotels Shutters on the Beach and Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica, CA
• Managing the real estate components of various public company and private M&A and acquisition transactions
• An Ares real estate fund vehicle in its joint venture to acquire and redevelop a large industrial asset outside of Portland, OR
• A major U.S. asset manager and REIT in connection with its preferred equity investment in a UK multifamily development project
• A private real estate investment firm in its acquisition, joint venture and financing of a series of limited service hotel assets
• A private equity fund in its acquisition of a portfolio of ski resort assets in the western U.S. and Canada
