Shahrzad Sadjadi
Overview
Shahrzad Sadjadi is a partner in the Antitrust and Competition Team in London. Her practice focuses on competition law — including merger control, antitrust compliance, and cartel and abuse of dominance investigations — as well as foreign investment control.
Shahrzad has practiced in Brussels and London, and has been involved in matters before the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority, UK Investment Screening Unit, and various other national authorities.
Shahrzad has been recognized by Management Today in its “35 Women under 35” list (2024) and named by Lexology (Who’s Who Legal) as a “Global Elite Thought Leader” (2024) as well as a “Future Leader” (2023 and 2024) for Competition Law.

- Abbott Laboratories in its $25 billion acquisition of St. Jude Medical, involving merger clearances in the EU and several other jurisdictions
- Google in various global matters, including abuse of dominance investigations in the EU and India
- AB InBev in the creation of its joint venture with Anadolu Efes in Russia and Ukraine
- Merger control in the energy, medical, pharmaceutical, FMCG, and other sectors in the EU, UK, and other jurisdictions
