Julie Soic

Prior to joining Kirkland, Julie was involved in the following matters:

• Created the real estate acquisition program for the Inglewood Transit Connector Project (~$1.4 billion transportation infrastructure project).
• Served as the strategic advisory consultant to the County and City of Los Angeles for the West Los Angeles Civic Center and Courthouse redevelopment project ($500 million+ P3 redevelopment project), advising on procurement, project management, environmental clearance and entitlements, and deal structuring matters.
• Oversaw procurement, deal negotiation, program design, and contract management for the City of Inglewood’s iPark&Go remote parking and shuttle program for NFL games and other major events at SoFi Stadium (with ~60,000+ customers served during first year of operations).
• Managed and secured entitlements for commercial, residential, and institutional projects within the City and County of Los Angeles.
• Represented a real estate investment fund client in the sale of a $106 million retail and office property in Salt Lake City, Utah, which property comprised a minority ownership stake in a large shopping mall development project.
• Represented a real estate investment fund client in a series of sales of $107 million worth of commercial office property and associated parking lots in Las Vegas, Nevada.
• Represented an insurance company client in the negotiation of a $33 million joint venture agreement with a local Southern California developer in order to acquire and develop new warehouse and creative office space in Carlsbad, California.
• Represented a sovereign wealth fund in the review of various student housing development deals in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions with development budgets ranging from $65 to $105 million each, as well as the negotiation of a follow-on platform joint venture agreement for additional student housing developments.
• Represented an institutional real estate investor client in the sale of a $51 million multi-family residential property in Aurora, Colorado.
• Represented the real estate lending arm of an asset manager in the origination of a $75 million mortgage loan, secured by a luxury hotel and condominium property in Maui, Hawaii.
• Served as land use counsel to one of the largest privately held land conservancies in California, negotiating numerous conservation easements and performing title and survey review work.
