Luca Uberai is an investment funds associate in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP. Luca has extensive experience in the structuring, formation, fundraising and operation of investment funds, co-investment vehicles and segregated mandates across various asset classes including direct lending, distressed debt, special situations, real estate, private equity and infrastructure. Luca also has experience in related carried interest, co-invest and other incentive arrangements. Luca has acted for mainly European, U.S. and South African fund sponsors.
Luca focuses on advising asset managers launching credit fund platforms in a variety of regulatory regimes, investing in various levels of the capital structure including senior, mezzanine, unitranche and non-performing loans, working closely with regulatory and tax teams. Recent experience includes advising on traditional closed-ended funds and evergreen structures.
