Representative Matters
Since joining Kirkland, Georgina has worked on the following matters:
Advising Cineworld group and its UK subsidiaries on their financial and leasehold restructuring, implemented by way of four UK restructuring plans
Advising Hurtigruten Group on its recapitalization action
Advising Wittur Group on its financial restructuring
Advising Cimolai S.p.A. and its parent, Luigi Cimolai Holding S.p.A., in relation to their respective restructuring plans under Part 26A of the Companies Act 2006, launched in parallel with concordato preventivo proceedings in Italy in order to effect a holistic recapitalisation transaction
Advising Flint Group on its €1.3 billion recapitalization
Advising the Facility Agent in relation to the restructuring plan under Part 26A of the Companies Act 2006 of German company, SGB-SMIT GmbH
Prior to joining Kirkland, Georgina worked on the following matters:
Advising the agent to the second lien noteholders in connection with the consensual financial restructuring of Vue Cinemas
Advising a landlord creditor in relation to the restructuring plan proposed by NCP
Advising the joint administrators of five connected companies (Ideal Shopping Direct Limited and subsidiaries) on various issues arising in the administration
Advising administrators on various matters, including claims or potential claims against current and former directors (e.g. wrongful and fraudulent trading and breach of duty), security reviews and various court applications (including for a retrospective administration order)
Acting for administrators in relation to a pre-packaged administration
Advising the administrators of Transform Medical Group in relation to the appeal to the Court of Appeal in a case arising from group litigation concerning unfit for purpose PIP breast implants, involving complex issues of joint privilege in the context of administration and the effect of assignment of claims
Advising respondents (majority shareholders) in complex and protracted unfair prejudice petition proceedings issued by a minority shareholder
