With over 15 years of experience, Paul is a trusted advisor to many of the world’s leading private investment firms.
Paul has led fund formations for both U.S. and international investment fund sponsors ranging in size from under $100 million to over $18 billion across a wide range of different strategies.
In addition to his work with established firms, Paul frequently represents emerging managers in spin-out negotiations, pledge structures, bespoke seeding arrangements, management company start-ups and first time fund formations.
Paul also advises on a suite of related strategic and operational matters, including complex secondary and other liquidity transactions (including significant single and multi-asset continuation vehicle transactions), product expansion, joint ventures, separately managed accounts and other strategic arrangements and co-investment plans.
He also advises clients on a variety of internal economic and governance matters, including employee departures, succession plans, long-term planning and strategic transactions, such as seed deals, preferred equity transactions and minority stake sales.
