Overview

Alex Weinman is an investment funds associate in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Prior to Kirkland, Alex practiced at Linklaters LLP and Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in the Investment Management Group and the Alternative Assets Transactions and Liquidity Solutions Group. Most notably, he advised on multi-billion-dollar private equity fundraises, bespoke secondary transactions, including GP-led tender offers and rollover and continuation vehicles and over two dozen co-investment equity syndications for Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. He actively participated in the Regulatory Group, updating the practice group on changes to the securities law regime; and he regularly trained other attorneys on securities law, fund formation and fund economics.

Before law school, Alex tap danced professionally, performing at venues such as Lincoln Center and the Apollo Theatre, appearing on Sesame Street and The Today Show and teaching at Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, the American Tap Dance Foundation, Rutgers University, Wagner College and Oklahoma City University.
