Since joining Kirkland, Jonathan's representative matters have included:

• An investor consortium on its acquisition and development of Subway’s China business, which operates the quick-service-restaurant business in mainland China under the master franchise granted by the SUBWAY® brand owner. It is the largest master franchise in Subway history and reportedly one of the largest across the global quick-service-restaurant industry. This transaction was named “Deals of the Year 2023” by China Business Law Journal
• The LYCRA Company in its joint venture with Yinchuan city government to set up manufacturing operations in the Yinchuan city to produce spandex products
• Crescent Point Capital on the acquisition by Ares Management Corporation of the Crescent Point Capital platform, a leading Asia-focused private equity platform
• Nexus Point Capital in its leveraged acquisition of Honour Lane Shipping Ltd. This transaction was named “Deal of the Year - Mid Cap” by AVCJ Private Equity & Venture Capital Awards 2022

• Baring Private Equity Asia on its proposed acquisition of Tricor
• A leading Asian based private equity fund on its acquisition of a Hong Kong headquartered shipping company
• A leading U.S. investment bank on its various investments and disposals, spanning across the technology and healthcare sectors in Greater China and the Asia Pacific region
• A leading European based private equity firm on a variety of acquisition and sale of control stakes in various industries across the Asia Pacific Region
• Permira on its acquisition of a majority stake in Topcast Aviation Supplies Limited and its affiliates, the largest independent aircraft parts distributor in Asia Pacific
• EQT on its minority investment in VBill, a leading third party payment service provider in China
• A leading Asian based private equity sponsor on its acquisition of a control stake in a respiratory care products manufacturer
• MBK Partners and TPG on the merger between WTT and HKBN
• Partners Group on its sale of global apparel labeling and branding solutions provider Trimco International Holdings Limited to Affinity Equity Partners
• Everbright Overseas Infrastructure Investment Fund on its acquisition of Boreal Group, a Norwegian public transport operator
• Sun Hung Kai & Co. on various strategic acquisitions, disposals and regulatory matters, including its sale of minority stake in Everbright Sun Hung Kai to Everbright Securities
• The Coca-Cola Company on various minority investments and strategic transactions, including the realignment of its bottling operations in China with its two franchise partners COFCO and Swire
