Xiaorui /shaw-ray/ Yang is a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Formerly a senior international legal consultant in Kirkland’s Shanghai office, Xiaorui rejoined the Firm after obtaining his U.S. J.D. degree from Northwestern Law and clerking for Judge Andrew J. Kleinfeld of the Ninth Circuit. While with Kirkland’s Asia team, Xiaorui developed substantial experience in cross-border litigation, internal investigations, and compliance counselling. Xiaorui has passed the Chinese bar exam and is an Information Privacy Professional certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
