The Chicago Lawyer surveyed 161 Illinois law firms with 20 or more lawyers as listed in Sullivan's Law Directory regarding the gender and race of their Illinois lawyers as of January 31, 2003.

Kirkland & Ellis ranked first in the number of minority lawyers for large law firms.
