The 2005 Vault rankings, an independent survey of more than 14,000 associates from some of the largest law firms around the country, measures both "Prestige" and "Quality of Life" factors for law firms.  In this survey, Kirkland ranked:

#2 nationally for formal associate training;

#15 nationally for partner prestige; and

#19 nationally for selectivity.
