Pro Bono Award

The Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law awarded Kirkland & Ellis LLP its 2010 Pro Bono Award for support of the Community Economic Development Law Project (CEDLP). The Firm received the honor at the committee's 41st annual meeting.

Launched in 1985, the Community Economic Development Law Project provides legal expertise, including tax, corporate, real estate and finance counsel, to nonprofit organizations in low-income communities, and is the only public interest legal organization dedicated to assisting nonprofit groups with neighborhood revitalization efforts.
