40 at 50 Judicial Pro Bono Recognition Breakfast
For the third year in a row, Kirkland was honored at the annual 40 at 50 Judicial Pro Bono Recognition breakfast in Washington, D.C., on April 1, 2015. The Firm was one of 23 local law firms where at least 40 percent of lawyers performed a minimum of 50 hours of pro bono service in 2014. Kirkland was one of five firms with 60 percent or more of all lawyers completing 50 hours, and one of three firms whose partners met the “40 at 50” goal.
The event was organized by the D.C. Circuit Judicial Conference Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services, which reviews and reports to the judicial conference on issues facing pro se litigants in the federal courts and the pro bono resources available to them.
