Public Counsel Pro Bono Award

Public Counsel honored three Kirkland attorneys with its 2016 Public Counsel Pro Bono Award. As part of Kirkland’s involvement in the organization’s Consumer Law Project, the Firm represented two Indonesian nationals who were defrauded of tens of thousands of dollars by a corrupt flight school. Within a year, Kirkland wrapped up the lawsuit and recovered the funds that were taken from the students. Partners David Horowitz and Jay Bhimani and associate Shannon Coit accepted the award at a ceremony on May 9, 2017.
