"'While there will continue to be political noise around foreign investment in the U.S., I don't think Congress will act in any meaningful way on Cfius legislation anytime soon,' said Mario Mancuso, a former Cfius official and head of Kirkland & Ellis LLP's international trade and national security practice. 'FINSA was a very important reiteration of long-standing U.S. policy,' which is to encourage foreign investment in the U.S. without jeopardizing national security."
