Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout Outs

Partners Adam Alper, Mike De Vries, Akshay Deoras, Sharre Lotfollahi and Leslie Schmidt were recognized as runners-up for The American Lawyer Litigation Daily's "Litigator of the Week" for their work for client Omnitracs. 

"... A Kirkland & Ellis team led by partners Adam Alper, Mike De Vries, Akshay Deoras, Sharre Lotfollahi and Leslie Schmidt won a $19.4 million patent infringement verdict for fleet services software company Omnitracs in litigation against Platform Science, a rival founded by Omnitracs’ former president Jack Kennedy. Federal jurors in San Diego last week found that Platform Science willfully infringed on one of the three patents Omnitracs asserted and that all three patents were valid. However, jurors did not find infringement on the two other patents."
