Kirkland Advises on China Architectural JV
Kirkland & Ellis has advised international architecture firm Callison, one of the world’s leading retail design firms, and private equity firm Blue Point Capital Partners on the formation of Callison (China), a joint venture with HAYA Architects, one of the leading architecture and design firms in Beijing.
HAYA Architects is a privately owned design firm, and has provided commercial architecture and store design for many Beijing-area residential and mixed-use projects. Callison has a well-established office in Shanghai, and the new joint venture will offer full architectural and retail design services to support the demands of the world’s fastest-growing economy. The Kirkland team advising on the joint venture included corporate partners XY Li and Chuan Li, and consultant Jing Li in Shanghai, and partner David Patrick Eich and associate Pierre-Luc Arsenault in Hong Kong.
