Kirkland & Ellis Advises Bain, Golden Gate in $6.9B BMC Acquisition

Kirkland & Ellis LLP represents Bain Capital and Golden Gate Capital in their agreement to acquire BMC Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: BMC) for approximately $6.9 billion, one of the largest leveraged buyouts this year.

The Kirkland team was led by partners Sarkis Jebejian, who joined the Firm in December 2012, and Matthew Steinmetz, and also included partners Matthew O'Brien, Jeff Richards and Claire Sheng on M&A matters and partners Linda Myers and Michelle Kilkenney on financing matters.
