Kirkland Represents Ares SSG on $1.6 Billion Secured Lending Fund
Kirkland & Ellis represented Ares SSG Capital Management, a leading Asia-Pacific alternative asset manager, on the successful final closing of Ares SSG Secured Lending Opportunities III, L.P., securing capital commitments of over $1.6 billion in aggregate (representing a nearly 100% increase on the size of the prior fund). The fund, which held its final closing on July 14, 2021, is Ares SSG’s third fund targeting secured lending investments in Asia.
The Kirkland team was led by investment funds partners Justin Dolling and Jamie Hill and included investment funds partners Josh Westerholm and Phil Giglio, tax partners Marguerite Lombardo and Carol Wang, financial services regulatory partner Adam Skinner, and employee benefits partner Elizabeth Dyer.
