Kirkland Advises on £115 Million IPO of Hiro Metaverse Acquisitions I S.A.
Kirkland & Ellis advised Citigroup, as the sole global coordinator, on the £115 million IPO on the London Stock Exchange of Hiro Metaverse Acquisitions I S.A., a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) sponsored by Hiro Capital, a venture capital fund founded by Sir Ian Livingstone, Luke Alvarez and Cherry Freeman.
Hiro Metaverse will be focusing on targets in the video-games, connected wellness and metaverse technology industries.
The transaction is the second London SPAC IPO since changes to the FCA rules in 2021, and Kirkland’s first UK SPAC.

The team was led by capital markets partner Cedric van den Borren and associates Rohan Sahai, AJ Brown and Varun Baliga and corporate partner Stuart Boyd, with support from UK tax partners Ian Ferreira and Alan Walker and associate Rohit Pisal and US tax partners Lee Morlock and David Morris and associate Hayden Gunter.
