Kirkland Represents BGH Capital in Successful Closing of Second Aus/NZ-Focused Private Equity Fund at A$3.6 Billion
Kirkland & Ellis advised BGH Capital, a leading Australian private equity firm, in the successful closing of its second vintage flagship private equity fund, BGH Capital Fund II, at approximately A$3.6 billion, representing the largest-ever private equity vehicle raised for deployment in Australia and New Zealand. The fund was oversubscribed with a broad mix of prestigious global institutional investors, including sovereigns, pensions, endowments and fund of funds. Kirkland also represented BGH Capital in raising its debut fund, BGH Capital Fund I, which was the largest first-time fund raised for Australia and New Zealand at A$2.6 billion in 2018.
The Kirkland team was led by investment funds partners Justin Dolling and Jamie Hill, and also included debt finance partners Susannah Amini and Parisa Clovis.
