Kirkland & Ellis advised an Asia real estate fund managed by Apollo Global Management, Inc. (NYSE: APO), a high-growth global alternative asset manager, on its formation of a joint venture with the management team at Beijing Haoyang Cloud Data Technology Co., Ltd. (Haoyang Data) and Mandarin Capital Management Limited (Mandarin Capital) to acquire an 80 per cent interest in a data center asset known as Baoding No. 1 Data Center Project in Hebei Province, China.

In 2021, Kirkland also represented the Apollo fund on its formation of a joint venture with the Haoyang Data management team and Mandarin Capital, as well as the joint venture’s acquisition of its first data center asset, which is known as Langfang No. 1 Data Center Project in Hebei Province.
