Kirkland Advises Thompson Street Capital Partners on Close of Sixth Private Equity Fund With More Than $1.5 Billion of Commitments
Kirkland & Ellis advised Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP), a private equity firm focused on investing in founder-led middle market businesses, on the closing of its sixth committed capital investment fund, Thompson Street Capital Partners VI, L.P. (TSCP VI). The Fund was oversubscribed with total commitments exceeding the $1.5 billion target. Commitments to TSCP VI came from a well-respected and diverse group of new and existing global limited partners, including leading public, corporate and foreign pension funds, endowments, insurance companies, foundations and family offices. As with its prior funds, TSCP’s partners made substantial capital commitments to TSCP VI.
The Kirkland team was led by investment funds partners John Muno and Noah Mullin and associate Julia Trotta, and also included assistance from investment funds partner Bruce Ettelson and associates Casey Prusher, Jordan Keeton and Tiffani Caldwell, investment funds regulatory partner Nicholas Hemmingsen and associate Danielle Sartain, and tax partner Daniel Meehan and associate Christopher Worek.
