Tax Lawyer Elie Zolty Joins Kirkland & Ellis
Kirkland & Ellis is excited to announce that tax lawyer Elie Zolty will join the Firm as a partner.
“Elie is a talented lawyer with significant experience handling tax issues across the spectrum of matters involving investment funds,” said Jon A. Ballis, Chairman of Kirkland’s Executive Committee. “We are excited to welcome him to our top-notch tax team.”
Mr. Zolty’s practice focuses on tax matters related to investment fund formation, general partner stakes, general partner-led secondary transactions and continuation funds. He has extensive experience with both private equity and credit funds, and his clients include private equity firms and investors. He is well-versed in the real estate area, as well, where he has advised real estate sponsors, real estate investment trusts and real estate joint ventures.

Mr. Zolty earned degrees from York University and Osgoode Hall Law School in Canada. He also holds an LL.M. from New York University. He joins Kirkland from Schulte Roth & Zabel, where he was a partner.
