Kirkland Represents Global Clean Energy Holdings on Chapter 11 Proceedings

Kirkland & Ellis advised Global Clean Energy Holdings, Inc., a vertically integrated renewable fuels innovator producing ultra-low fuels, on its voluntary chapter 11 proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas to facilitate a debt-for-equity exchange with certain of the Company’s key stakeholders. The transaction proposes to provide up to $200 million in new money availability to the Company and provides a path to a successful reorganization.
