PLI’s Tax Strategies for Corporate Acquisitions, Dispositions, Spin-Offs, Joint Ventures, Financings, Reorganizations & Restructuring 2018
The Practising Law Institute will host their Tax Strategies for Corporate Acquisitions, Dispositions, Spin-Offs, Joint Ventures, Financings, Reorganizations & Restructurings 2018 program in New York on October 17–19, 2018, in Chicago on November 14–16, 2018 and in Los Angeles on December 5–7, 2018. The three-day program will focus on tax issues presented by the entire spectrum of modern major corporate transactions, from single-buyer acquisitions of a division or subsidiary to multi-party joint ventures, cross-border mergers, and complex acquisitions of public companies with domestic and foreign operations, including spin-offs and other dispositions of unwanted operations.
Several Kirkland partners have been invited to speak at the event. Donald Rocap will participate on the panel entitled “Structuring Leveraged Buyouts” in New York. Jack Levin will participate on the panel entitled “Structuring Leveraged Buyouts” in Chicago. David Wheat on the panel entitled “Structuring Leveraged Buyouts” in Los Angeles. Dean Shulman will speak on the topic “Passthrough Corporations - RICs, REITs, and UpCs” in both Chicago and New York. Todd Maynes will speak on the topic “Tax Strategies for Financially Troubled Businesses and Other Loss Companies” in Los Angeles.
