Wharton Restructuring and Distressed Investing Conference 2025
The Wharton School will host its 21st Annual Wharton Restructuring and Distressed Investing Conference in New York on February 21, 2025. This year’s conference theme is “Beyond Bankruptcy: Innovative Approaches to Liability Management” which will include discussions about the evolving landscape of liability management, creative solutions in restructuring and forward-thinking strategies for distressed investing in today's dynamic economic environment.
Kirkland partner Edward Sassower will interview keynote speaker Ken Moelis, Founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Moelis & Company. Partner Brian Schartz will moderate the “LMEs: Past, Present, & Future” panel which will focus on how liability management transactions have evolved over time, the current factors impacting transaction structures and the lending market and what opportunities and challenges stressed/distressed companies and their stakeholders may face in 2025 and beyond.
